Just move the grip left and right to remove the hook and make a hook.

The hook side serves as a handy gaff when transferring poisonous fish such as stonefish to a cooler or when taking pictures of the fish you caught. 

The hook removal side has a total length of 25 cm, so you can easily remove the hook even if it is swallowed by a large fish such as Japanese blackfish.
