For the 2-6lb range, which is most commonly used for spinning reels, we have softened the highly sensitive fluorocarbon to reduce line trouble. For the 8-16lb range, which is most commonly used for baitcasting reels, we have applied an abrasion-resistant coating to the highly abrasion-resistant fluorocarbon to prevent rapid deterioration of strength under harsh conditions, in order to attack bushes and heavy cover.
